In this tutorial, we will learn how to draw a mermaid in a simple and easy way. This tutorial is suitable for kids and all ages who want to draw the mermaid in a super easy way.

Mermaids look extremely beautiful, aren’t they? Kids especially are attracted to the beauty of mermaids and try to copy their necklaces , hairstyles and colors. Many of the kids have toy mermaids which they use to play and enjoy!

In childhood, whenever we were asked to buy any toy, we rushed towards these beautiful mermaids because they are so attractive. In the drawing books, kids love to fill colors in the mermaids.

Draw a Mermaid

Follow these simple step by step instructions to draw a beautiful and gorgeous mermaid! Let’s start drawing this mermaid.

What you need:

  1. Our printable mermaid drawing guide
  2. Pencils for drawing the shapes
  3. Colors for coloring
  4. Paper 

How to draw a mermaid?

STEP 1:

Draw a U-shaped figure as the face of the mermaid.

STEP 2:

This is the most important part of the mermaid drawing. Let’s draw the hair and face of a mermaid. Draw the zigzag shaped hair, two circles as eyes and a curved small line as the mouth of the mermaid. Draw two ovals as the ears on the sides of the face of the mermaid. And draw the two button shaped figures next to the ears as the earrings.

STEP 3:

Let’s draw the body of a mermaid. Extend two parallel lines from the face as the neck of the mermaid. Curve these lines to form shoulders and then arms and hands of mermaid. Also, draw the blouse of a mermaid by drawing two squares and uniting them in the midline. Add the linings horizontally in the blouse.

STEP 4:

Next, draw the tail of the mermaid. Draw two curve lines and join them to form the end of the mermaid tail.

STEP 5:

Add the zigzag linings horizontally in the mermaid tail. At the end of the tail, draw a small circular puff pad of the mermaid.

STEP 6:

Color the mermaid with the bright shades.

It looks so adorable and lovely!!
