How To Draw a Turkey Instructions:
Step 1:
Like our other drawing tutorials, we will start by making the face. Sketch an inverted U to draw the winsome head. Good job! You are doing well.
Step 2:
Proceed by making a round, pear-like shape under the head you have just drawn. Can you guess what you have just made, Yes! It is the body. We have already made the main elements of how to draw a cute turkey! See how simple the steps are and can be done in a short time frame.
Step 3:
Let’s start with the details of the face which is an essential part. Firstly, draw two small circles to represent the eyes so the turkey can see the marvels around. One eye can be drawn bigger than the other and it’s completely optional. I think it just adds more details and makes the turkey appear even cuter.
Also, draw a beak for the turkey and a sort of a drop of water hanging from the beak for extra texture. Also, draw two round shapes on the two inner sides of the body to represent the wings.
Step 4:
Well done! You are doing a great job. Now, what’s missing? Yes, you are right; it’s time to begin drawing those spectacular tail feathers. Start drawing them by making two curved lines on the left and the right side.
Step 5:
Now we need to connect these curved lines that we have just drawn, together. Start on one side and draw at least 5 ideal arches. In the end, it might resemble a cloud.
Step 6:
Now draw lines beginning from the head and connect them to the arches which somewhat divide them. There are just a few more easy steps left before we finally complete the glorious feathers.
Step 7:
Now we have to add further details to the tail feathers. To do this, we will draw 5 more arches beneath the arches we drew in the first place.
Step 8:
The drawing of the arches is not over yet and so now, you will draw another round of arches beneath the ones you have already drawn. This will make your drawing more detail-oriented and will also add a mesmerizing glow-up to your already stunning drawing.
Step 9:
Lastly, we will add a final touch to the drawing by sketching the feet of the turkey. We will draw these feet on the bottom left and the right side as it will enhance the cuteness and trust me drawing them is as simple as a child’s play.
Easy up till now, right. With this, we arrive at the end of our drawing and now only one more step remains until we get to the end and that step is also really pivotal.
Step 10:
Coloring is extremely vital in art and it expresses a person’s creativity and is also a chief component in creating mood and in clearly highlighting an emotion. This is exactly what the final step is all about.
For this concluding step, you must use your imagination to its fullest. As imagination has no boundaries, you can color the turkey you have drawn just the way you like it. However, turkeys are generally brown but they can also include tones of grey, blue, orange, and even a slight tinge of green.
Congratulations! At last, you have made it to the end.
