How to Draw Anime Tears Step by Step Instructions

Step 1. 

We draw an oval shape line for the face with a pencil.

Step 2. 

Draw the front part of the hair. To draw the hairline, start with the pencil on the left side of the head. Let’s draw the outline the shape of the face and large curls falling on the forehead.

Step 3.

 Add the ears to the sides of the head, between the area of eye and nose lines. The bottom and the top of each ear should line up.

Step 4.

Let’s start with the top line of the eyelid. Sketch out the pupil of eye, and then add details to create a sparkle effect. You will draw the other eye on the opposite side of the face, which looks like the other. Draw the tears coming from the outer side of the eyes and running down the cheek. 

Step 5. 

Draw the character’s eyebrows above the eye line. Start the character’s brow line above the corner of the eye, slightly above the guideline you drew earlier. Draw a slightly curved or angular line in the same shape as the top of the eye.

Step 6. 

Draw the mouth and nose in the middle of the chin.

Step 7. 

Sketch the neck descending from the head. 

Step 8. 

Give the character a hairstyle, as shown in the picture. Anime characters can have a variety of hairstyles, so pick the one you think will look best on the character. Once you have a rough outline for the hairstyle, erase any part of the head covering the hair, so it is not visible. 

Step 9. 

We will finish our anime drawing of the sad face. We are almost done painting.

Step 10. 

Now it’s time to color.
