How to make an Origami Jumping Frog Step by Step

If you’re looking for a fun origami project, why not try making a frog? This classic origami shape is perfect for beginners. Follow this step-by-step tutorial and you’ll be folding origami frogs in no time!

1. Grab the paper.

Start with construction paper to begin your origami.

2. Fold corners.

Take the ends and fold the corners diagonally.

3. Bend the paper.

Open the paper up then bend the paper in half.

4. Fold sections.

Begin folding each section. Repeat the process until you have folded each section.

5. Overlap the sections.

Take the top part of the paper and fold in. Then do exactly the same with the bottom.

6. Tuck in the Sides.

Tuck in the sides of the top layer and the bottom. Next bend the layers again on the top and bottom.

7. Create the body.

Flip the origami frog over and bend the end upwards. Then fold both sides inwards like so

8. Bend the Jumping Origami Frog

Lastly bend the frog and make a nice crease. That way it is spring loaded to jump.
