I bet you know how to make an origami frog, but have you ever tried making a jumping frog? It’s just as easy and fun! I am going to show you how to make a simple origami jumping frog! This is a great project for kids and adults, as it can be completed in just 5 minutes. It’s also a perfect rainy day activity that will keep the kids entertained indoors.
Jumping Frog
Supplies Needed:
- Color paper of your choice
Step One
You will need 15cm x 15cm square paper. You can use any paper, just cut the size in square you prefer.
Step Two
Fold the paper diagonally for making the crease
Step Three
Fold the paper in half sideways to make the rectangle
Step Four
Fold the corners down and unfold them right away to make the creasing line, repeating this for all corner
Step Five
Fold these edges toward you so they meet each other. The top of your rectangle will fold down to form a triangle
Step Six
Repeat the same procedure on the other side to create this type of shape
Step Seven
After creating the triangles on both side , this shape will be created
Step Eight
Fold the left corner of upper triangle in upward direction so that it will meet the top edge
Step Nine
Apple the same procedure on the upper right triangle corner and do the same for the bottom one to create this shape
Step Ten
Now again fold these folded triangle inwards
Step Eleven
Turn it back and fold the lower corner in upward direction
Step Twelve
Fold the left and right side towards the center
Step Thirteen
Fold this shape in half to create the body of frog
Step Fourteen
Fold the lower half part again
That’s it! Now you have created a Jumping Frog
