Paper Plate American Flag Craft

Kids love doing crafts in summer; not only does it keep them busy, but they also learn a lot of skills and significantly important moments for them.

The paper plate American flag craft is perfect for kids to celebrate independence day. However, you can make this craft on normal days as well.

What you need

  • Paper plate
  • Red, white, and blue paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Pencil
  • Q-tip

Instructions (step by step)

For younger kids, an adult should help them making this craft. You should draw some lines and tell them where they should color. Older kids won’t need it.

Draw a blue rectangle in the upper-left corner of your paper plate. Color the corner blue, and use a q-tip dipped in white paint to create stars. Paint red stripes and let them dry.

Hurrah! You have made the USA flag.

Paper Plate Beach Ball Craft

This is one of the best crafts for summer, and it’s all about spending time in the pool or at the beach. So why not create a beach ball at home with your kids?

It’s made with some common materials, and that is really inexpensive to make with the supplies you probably have on hand.

What you need

  • Paper plate
  • Construction paper (various colors)
  • Glue
  • White paper
  • Pencil

Instructions (step by step)

Let’s get started by drawing a circle in the middle of a paper plate. Divide the plate into six sections, as you can see in the image.

Tear different colors of construction paper into the plate sections. Each section should have a different color of paper in it.

Glue all the pieces of paper and finish by sticking a round shape white paper in the paper plate’s middle.

Yay! You have made a beach ball at home.

Watermelon Paper Plate Craft

The most enjoyable fruit is watermelon in hot weather. We have many benefits, so we have decided to show you how you can make watermelon craft at home. It’s really easy to make and fun for the kids.

What you need

  • Paper plates
  • Red, green, and black acrylic paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors

Instructions (step by step)

Firstly, cut the paper plate in half. Paint each plate red and leave about 2 inches from the edges.

Now paint the edges green, leave a bit of white space between red and green color.

Let it dry once it’s completely dry. Paint black seeds near the center of the red section.

Now cut each plate into three pieces, as you can see in the image. Also, if you don’t want to cut, it looks perfectly fine. Although, it depends on you.
