  • Coloring and art supplies

How to Draw a Frog Step By Step:

You can grab the frog template to face no difficulties. Also, pick your favorite medium and begin drawing. We have used a marker to illustrate the cute frog.

Step 1:

Start by drawing an ellipse shape or it can be an oval. A round shape will also work well. You do not need to be precise!

Step 2:

Now draw two small circles on top of the ellipse you previously drew in Step 1. The circles should be drawn in a way that the ellipse cuts the middle of the two circles. Can you guess what feature it is? Yes, they are the eyes!

See it is easy!

Step 3:

Now it is time to add some facial features. Draw two black circles in the eyes. You can make them point towards one direction, left or right, rather than staring at you as it will look cooler.

Kids can draw the eyes pointing straight as it will be much easier. Draw a smile from the left to the right or the right to the left of the mouth, whatever feels more comfortable to you. Also, draw the nostrils and shade them black.

Outline the body by drawing two arcs on each side of the face. Little children can draw straight lines for the body, but it will still look fabulous.

Step 4:

It is time to draw more arcs. Draw the left and the right leg of the frog. Make the legs as two hills or bumps on both sides. Also, draw a hill or bend inside the body for extra details. The steps are easy and super simple as always.

Step 5:

This step is quite tricky so you should pay a lot of attention at this point. Draw feet for the frog and at the ends, draw several curves. Kids can simply draw curved feet which somewhat look like triangles.

Easy up till now? It surely is going to be easy!

Step 6:

Now just to finish with a few steps and you will be done and you will also learn how to draw a cartoon frog. Draw a slightly curved or round line and attach it from the front left leg to the front right leg.

To add extra details, draw spots as minute circles on the head and both the back legs. Draw two spots between the eyes on the head and three on the back legs.

Step 7:

Now it is time to color! I believe it is the best part of the entire drawing and surely the most creative. We colored our green in the illustration as it is very common. You can color it in the ways you want to and use your imagination.

Let creativity be your guideline and lead you to the best way.
